Beginning's end

Dear America.

I took this photo today and thought of you for the obvious reasons.

Then I took this one and I thought it was actually more appropriate; it's a willow tree that was struck by lightning. The core has been hollowed out and hardened by fire. But in it's dead heart was another tree, a tiny little oak, stronger and more resilient than a willow, rising from the ashes.

So take from that what you will.

P.S. Giving the first responders the health care they so direly need and deserve would be a nice way to remember and honor the memory of the fallen. Just a suggestion.

No we can't.

Bit of an in-joke amongst artists; every now and then you get someone who "challenges" you to draw their character and thus tries trick you into making them some free art.
It's dumb. It's obvious. It's condescending and 9 out of 10 times it's a winged wolf with tribal tattoos.
